With Xmas looming… bathstore needed to increase conversion rates both from the homepage and product pages, reducing bounce rate without affecting SEO, and keeping the current website structure.

Our User Experience and Design Approach

Never one to turn down a challenge it was clear from the outset this project would be technically demanding. After talking with the client it was clear bathstore services and brand promise needed to have a louder voice on the redesign of the homepage.

Insight: A revitalised homepage would bring more focus to bathstore services and brand promise.

UX Design with a focused content strategy

We organised the homepage splitting up the header, main commercial carousel, brand promise/services and the footer. This not only generated more click-throughs but crucially showcased the brand promises. Our store-selector section also established Bathstore as a major high-street brand.

By creating a mega drop down menu we allowed easy access to sub categories without compromising the SEO position.

A cohesive layout design of the product page reflected unified product details like price, image, stock, a brief description and a strong call to action. Key product details were followed by additional product information and related items. Always making life for the user easier, all relevant product information was tabulated making the information organised and easy to assimilate.

We created a new product page template integrating seamlessly with the current site framework and brought ecommerce best practices to our design making it easy and more usable for the user.
