Bringing movie buffs a quick-fire film fix

We created the Turkey or Not website on behalf of film enthusiasts John (Horsepower Productions) and Alberto (Director of The Killer Tongue). They wanted to share their love of film with like-minded people as well as providing a platform for discussion, ratings and entertainment.

The design is bold and uncluttered to reflect the immediacy of the interaction and using HTML, PHP, some flash and CMS we created simple but engaging features that encourage users to revisit the site.

Our ’hot or not’ thermometer rating system provides an instant guide to the quality of a film. The fruit machine is a quick-fire film rating game and Billy the Turkey is the site mascot.

The site reflects its creators’ energy and enthusiasm for films, as well as providing an informative and focussed social network.

Since the design the site has attracted big-name advertisers Orange and Nokia. And over 3,000 movies have been added by over 3000 fans who’ve cast nearly 200,000 votes.
