PokerStars was well established amongst the poker pro’s when Pixelgroup brought a new generation of players to the table.
Our challenge was to redesign the game interface so that it enticed new users without patronising serious players. We researched the process flows, simplified the download and divided the site into sections that gave new users an un-intimidating and easy to navigate experience, and maintained integrity for existing users so that they could move around the site quickly.
We gave the interface a high contrast, high-class finish using sports branding for inspiration and paying particular attention to the look and feel of the buttons, to make sure they were in keeping with the style of the site and the nature of the game.
PokerStars continues to be one of the world’s largest online poker sites and respected in the poker community as a site for serious poker people.
